Why do I feel weird during meditation? Well, you might experience a similar sensation during meditation, whether it be casual twitching, or a lot more movement than you’re used to. This is said to be your body’s way of releasing built-up stress or tension, so even though it feels weird, it’s actually a good thing.
Why does my body jerk during meditation? In this case, deep meditation is opening up some energy pathways and as more energy starts to flow it can hit up against blocks. As the energy dissolves the blocks, the body may spontaneously shake or twist and turn since everything that happens in our energy field is reflected in the body.

The process of “seeing things” during meditation has been reported as a relatively common phenomenon amongst meditators often reported as encounters with light but has never been investigated using neuroimaging methods (Lo et al., 2003; Lindahl et al., 2013).
